Curly or Straight??

My Hair is pretty thick and it is also very wavy. Sometimes, depending on how I style it , It can look down right curly. Lately I've been wearing it straight. I never bothered with straightening it before because it was just so much of a hassle (the right straightening product makes a huge difference). The catch is I don't have a straightener. I ues my curling iron. Yes that's right, my curling iron. I take my curling iron hold it at the base of my hair (little sections) near my scalp and slowly move it up towards the end of the hair. Making sure to constantly keep it moving.

1. What is your holiday wish for your family?  That we all have a safe Christmas and Holiday and that we never forget what the true meaning of the Christmas season really is.

2. What is your Christmas morning / Hanukkah Nightly tradition?    Well our tradition now is to always go over to my parents for Christmas dinner after we have opened gifts here. Unfortunately I have failed to continue a lot of the traditions with my children that my parents had with my siblings and myself.  Santa Decorated our tree when I was a kid, and then My siblings and I couldn't even come down the hall and see the tree in the morning until all of our guests had arrived for breakfast.  These are just a couple .

3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be?

4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money?   By making sure the House is decorated nice and that it has a nice warm feeling. We try and spend time watching Christmas movies together and baking cookies, and taking part in church Christmas activities.

5. What games did you play with your family growing up? SORRY, was a big one in our Family

6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood?  The whole Santa Tradition. Even now that my boys have outgrown Santa so to speak, We still don't let them see their gifts until Christmas morning.

7. Where would you go for a Christmas/Hanukkah-away-from-home trip?  I would love to go to Colonial Williams-burg one year for Christmas

YAYYY I got them..

Today the shoes that I won got here. Remember the ones that I had won over at Trying to stay Calm?  They are a pair of Naya Shoes  and I love them. I have never put on a heel that has been as comfortable as these and I have worn quite a few pairs of heels. They came in a recyclable bag  then were placed inside their  shoebox. They also sent this cute little stick drive that is like a virtual  brochure on the shoes, very cool. I absolutely think that Naya shoes are one of the best .

ENCOURAGING NEWS!!!

Some encouraging news!!! I just realized that even though we have 30 votes and we've seen one other person ahead of us with 70 some, we still have a chance. YAY!! They are taking the top 10 as finalists and then people from Sears will make the final decision so thank you sooo much to those friends and family that are taking the time to vote for us everyday and help keep us in the top 10. Cool Coffee Maker

Back in the summer of 2009, our son Jordan was in A. I.  hospital for 8 days. A. I.   had a room where Families of children that were staying in the hospital could go just to relax and get away for awhile. It has couches, tables, books, computers, and a little kitchen that we had access too. This is where we first came across the Keurig  Coffee maker. We thought it was the neatest thing and there were so many different flavors to pick from. We would pass up a regular cup of coffee that we could get right in the room when they brought the courtesy cart around and go down to another floor just to get one of those Keurig cups.
