The American Cancer Society - Relay For Life of Essex, MD: My Family and I will be walking in the Essex Relay for life this year to raise money to fight this horrible disease Cancer. I'm sure that most if not all of you out there have been affected by this disease in some way. As some of you know, It hit very close to Ken and myself this past June When our son Jordan was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. Very rare for kids and very scary for us. I am happy to say that Jordan is now cancer free and will be walking as a survivor. He will however have to be checked regularly. Please join us in this fight if you can and donate... there is still much to be done. You just never know how close it is. Does God have a sense of Humor?

Yesterday the topic of our devotions was "Just a Coincidence?" Proverbs 16: 9 ,33 Ephesians 1:11 and Genesis 39: 2, 5 were the scriptures. We got into a discussion on how God plans things and things happen for a reason and such.Well I say that sometimes I think that there are coincidences, like if you're watching a scary movie and the cat Knocks something over and scares you, that would be a coincidence. Jordan, being the witty person he is, says.. Who says God can't have a sense of humor and be like I'm going to scare them? .. too funny.

There's a teen in the house

Well it's official. Tanner is now a teenager, as of 7 :25 Wed evening. 3-3-10 was Tanners 13th birthday. We let him pick where he wanted to eat and he chose Chili's so we went there for Dinner. I had made him a cake so we came back home and had cake and sang to him. He wanted clothes so tomorrow I am going to take him clothes shopping. We didn't have a big party for him Yet... When the weather gets just a little warmer, He is going to have a celebration with his friends and have a bonfire in the back yard. It gets a little hard for him when planning his parties because amongst his friends is one friend who also has a birthday on March 3rd. The neat thing about this is, he was born at 7:30, five minutes after Tanner also at the same hospital. We could have been in rooms right next to each other. I can't believe how quick time flies by.
